About the Lab

We’re a group of people committed to bringing tools to those who need them. In most cases, biologists, ecologists, farmers, water quality professionals, and others don’t have the training to make their own robots and environmental instruments. We aim to make those tools, and to teach people how to do it themselves.

This lab is a part of the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences and the College of Science and Engineering of the University of Minnesota. We’re partially supported by the Robotics, Sensors, and Advanced Manufacturing branch of the MnDRIVE program.

If you’re interested in working on any of our projects for yourself, everything is archived under the OSI group at GitHub, and new repositories can be found under the Marchetto Lab group there.
